Why Bali
Yaran Property Group was founded in Perth in 1996 with a simple commitment: the founders were grateful for the opportunities they had been given, and pledged to give back in a way that would make a lasting difference to others. Everything the company has built since runs on that — creating value, and sharing it.
The Bali initiative comes out of that same mission. It exists to help people who want to move to Bali — for the lower cost of living, the lower housing costs, the relaxed tropical lifestyle, and the warmth of the Balinese people — do it without taking on the risks that usually come with buying property overseas.
In Australia, Yaran has delivered homes for the State and Federal Governments, built more than 300 homes for people with disability, and become a registered Specialist Disability Accommodation provider. The standards that came from that work are the standards applied in Bali.
History
1996
Faryar Gorjy starts Yaran Property Group as a side project while working full time in oil and gas.
2000
Faryar leaves his oil and gas career to develop infill projects in blue-chip locations around Perth.
2004
Yaran expands into affordable house and land packages across greater Perth and regional WA.
2010
Delivered under the WA State Housing Stimulus Program.
2013
Delivered for the Federal Government under the National Rental Affordability Scheme.
2017
Yaran pivots from the standard development model to holding and managing homes long term.
2020
A build-to-rent portfolio of 180 homes, and registration as a Specialist Disability Accommodation provider.
2024
Projects at various stages of development, and the Bali initiative begins.
The team
Director
Faryar brings 35 years of residential property investment and development experience, starting with his first rental property in the early 1980s. After a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Curtin University, he spent 20 years in oil and gas in technical and managerial roles, building a portfolio of Western Australian rental properties along the way. He founded Yaran Property Group in 1996.
General Manager, Yaran Bali
Geri leads Yaran's Bali operations from Sanur, guiding buyers through site visits, contracts and settlement, and staying the point of contact long after handover.
Beyond the homes
Saving Lives & Supporting Families
An estimated two million illegal abortions take place in Indonesia each year. Behind that number are women navigating complex realities — often without access to adequate medical care, psychological support, or viable alternatives, and making decisions under pressure, fear or isolation rather than from a place of safety and clarity. Yayasan Belarasa Bali Indonesia exists to create more options: supporting mothers facing crisis pregnancies, and preparing prospective adoptive parents through a legal and ethical process.
Any profits generated from Yaran Bali are used to bless Bali through supporting various charities, including our own foundation.
