The founders of Yaran are grateful for the opportunities they were given. They made a pledge early on: to give back in a way that would make a lasting difference to others. That pledge is the reason the company exists in the form it does, and it is the reason it came to Bali.
Our mission:“To be a blessing to others through housing which is affordable, fit-for-purpose, and environmentally conscious.”
The Bali initiative is an extension of that mission. It exists to help people move here — for the lower cost of living, the lifestyle, the warmth of the Balinese people — and to turn what that business earns into something that stays in Bali.
So the arrangement is simple, and it is not a marketing line. Buy a home from Yaran Bali and the profit on it does not leave. It funds charitable work here, including a foundation Yaran established itself.

Saving Lives & Supporting Families
Belarasa means compassion in action.
An estimated two million illegal abortions take place in Indonesia each year.
Behind that number are women navigating complex realities — often without access to adequate medical care, psychological support, or viable alternatives. Decisions are frequently made under pressure, fear or isolation, rather than from a place of safety and clarity.
Belarasa exists to create more options. Not to judge a decision, but to make sure there is a real alternative available to a woman who wants one.
What that looks like
Practical support, on both sides
Belarasa works with the mother and with the family that may raise the child — and where reunification is possible, it works toward that first.
For mothers facing a crisis pregnancy
- Safe housing and medical care through the pregnancy
- Counselling and social worker support
- Vocational training, so there is a livelihood on the other side
- Family reunification wherever that is possible
- Connections to other charitable resources for mother and baby
For prospective adoptive parents
- Guidance through the legal adoption process in Indonesia
- Support as a family is formed
